Biography
What year did you start training and what was your attraction to BJJ?
I started training in 2015. The attraction to BJJ started with UFC 1 years earlier, one of my clients was training for an MMA fight and said he’d be happy to show me some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu if I helped him prepare for his fight.
What do you most enjoy about BJJ and training at LEMA?
My favorite part of training jiu jitsu is trying to solve the complexity of someone else jiu jitsu, whether it’s attacking the guard, or defending with my guard…every time you advance a little closer to passing, or you’re able to keep your guard composed a little longer. The training environment at LEMA is my favorite part, everyone is part of the team and the support is endless.
Who is your inspiration and why?
I find myself heavily inspired by Donald McCaig. He was an author and one of the truest Dogmen to ever walk the earth. Calm, poised, and curious, his prose and his ability to define the difficult relationship we have with dogs is something I’m constantly striving to achieve.
What are some of your achievements?
I’m proud of my business. Started it with $300 to my name and no idea what I’m doing. Still don’t, but I’ve got a team of employees now!
What is your favorite submission?
